Salt Dough Clothes Fresheners | Nanny Anita

Years in the past we produced lavender salt dough that could be put into attracts and cupboards to make garments odor great.  As it has been so extensive we made a decision to make some additional salt dough clothes fresheners, in addition they make sweet handmade presents to give to pals and loved ones from very little kinds.

Make sure you comply with my present board on Pinterest for more suggestions.  Really don’t forget to help save the pin for afterwards.

To make these salt dough clothing fresheners you will want:

  • 1 cup of flour
  • ½ cup of salt
  • At minimum ½ cup of water
  • Fragrance
  • Colouring*
  • Rolling pin
  • Cookie cutters

*I used powdered paint rather than food colouring as it provides it a much more vivid colour.

Blend the salt, flour, and color together.  Slowly but surely add the drinking water with the fragrance in it.  1 batch of ours had pine scent and the other batch had Jasmine in it.  You want to combine the components together to type a dough, which is why it is essential to insert the drinking water slowly and gradually, you don’t want it to turn into a sticky mess.

When it comes together as a dough, kneed it for a couple of minutes to get it nice and smooth.

Now it is time to roll it out and reduce them into shapes.  You never want it also thick or also skinny, about 1cm must be very good.  Try to remember to make holes in the leading if you want have any that can cling up.

Position your decorations on a tray and pop in the oven on 70c for a couple several hours to dry them out.  If you never want to place them in the oven, just leave them somewhere warm for a several times as an alternative.
